My memory is foggy, but I thought Dylan didn't really have any friends? That being said, I pretty much expect the worst to happen to Dylan at any given point, but I really don't know if Chris is involved in anything or not. I haven't seen anything to suggest he's other than what he appears to be.
Chris is usually described as Dylan's best and only friend. He does sometimes ditch him for girls he wants to chat up and hangs out with other people as well, which leads to Dylan thinking they aren't as good friends as they are.
Bless Chris but ouch. So much dramatic irony here. Our well-intentioned boy has got no clue. Dude just claimed that everything turned out fine within earshot of the person this chain of events killed and then tried to reassure a murderer that he didn’t really hurt anybody.
Dylan’s right, the whole situation is a mess. I do have to wonder what Chris is gonna dig up about the hospital though, hmmm
He's got the oblivious outside perspective, at least it shows everyone else is probably viewing the situation as just kind of... unlucky, not dylan's fault
No idea how I would react but maybe with everything that transpired over the last few hours Chris is just Chris. Just seems weirdly unfazed though, haha. But it is like what do you even say to a sudden story like that... Like he thinks something just fell in place, hm.

Chris is a bit flaky but he has been there since the funeral at the beginning, iirc he has been described as Dylan’s only friend
