I told you it was a bad plan

Well, I uh… huh…

It sounds like Dylan is trying to frame Jerry for Robin’s murder… and Jerry’s okay with this? He’s probably privy to more details than we are, but still…

My guess is that Dylan’s going to get Vic and try to play it off as if they both killed each other?

TBH, if I were Dylan I would’ve probably hired an exorcist instead and solve the Mal issue.

Ahh he's just trying to frame Robin for jerry's murder. i might make that clearer! He does not want to go to prison and he does want to get back at Malachy.

Wasn't Jerry drunk on the night he died though? If that's the case, shouldn't his blood contain some alcohol? Your plan isn't very well thought, Dylan :<

23rd Mar 2019, 4:01 PM edit | delete | reply

oh, it's the worst plan but the idea is after a few days degrading in the sewer you won't get much out of the blood except DNA

25th Mar 2019, 1:02 AM edit | delete | reply

Hmm—alcohol itself is highly volatile, so it should evaporate very quickly as the blood dries. It's unlikely Jerry had a BAC over (say) 0.2% anyway, so I doubt they'd expect to find much.

There's also a biomarker, PEth, that can accumulate in blood cell membranes following an alcohol binge and can be reliably detected through a pinprick test, and a quick check out of curiosity indicates that it doesn't degrade in human blood in vitro; however, that's under lab-controlled conditions, so I have no idea if it would hold in an exposed sewer over the course of several days…

I hope you enjoyed this episode of CSI: Manchester.

25th Mar 2019, 10:28 AM edit | delete | reply

Hmm interesting! It doesn't seem like peth is used for dead people but I guess they could
The two main problems I think are the blood being too new and being found in a splatter pattern that doesn't make any sense.

26th Mar 2019, 5:41 PM edit | delete | reply

I agree, weird splatter and age are likely to be the biggest indicators.

Of course, I doubt any readers expect you to have professional-level knowledge of forensic science and biochemistry, so you're at perfect liberty to fudge this as liberally as the plot requires… ;)

O‿O

23rd Mar 2019, 3:50 PM edit | delete | reply

wouldn't it be easy to tell that Robin has been dead longer than the blood has been there?

23rd Mar 2019, 4:00 PM edit | delete | reply

Maybe, maybe not. Moisture in general accelerates body decay, and after a certain point of time determining the time of death becomes a vaguish best guess—and considering Robin is in a sewer it’s just a breeding ground for the pathogens that would do the decaying. But Depending on how long they wait before exposing Robin’s location it may be fine?

23rd Mar 2019, 4:01 PM edit | delete | reply

probably : )
He does have to hope they don't find him soon to have a good chance f getting away with it

23rd Mar 2019, 4:35 PM edit | delete | reply

This is actually a genius plan except for all the ways in which it is stupid

God, that’s NASTY. You’re doin a real good job of conveying the NASTY. Man, the poor guy’s face has gotta be all...eeeuugh. If Dylan keeps poking at Rob’s corpse I feel like he’s either gonna give himself another traumatic vision or All The Diseases so I’m hoping the boy keeps it quick

23rd Mar 2019, 8:53 PM edit | delete | reply

If he pokes at him enough he's liable to disintegrate. Either way I hope Dylan washes his hands when he's done :)

Anyway thanks :D I'm trying to avoid showing his nasty face

I noticed the tasteful speech bubble and I gratefully approve

23rd Mar 2019, 9:06 PM edit | delete | reply

Oh my god I just realised that Dyl's simply using his phone as a flashlight, for this whole time I thought his was making photos of Rob's rotting corpse.

Ok that's a relief

23rd Mar 2019, 9:19 PM edit | delete | reply

OH DAMn i didn't even think of that hahaha

he's not that weird I swear

25th Mar 2019, 1:04 AM edit | delete | reply

Oh my god, I was so confused why he'd be taking a load of OH HEY HERE'S SOME EVIDENCE I WAS HERE YOOHOO pictures. Like, dude, why not take a selfie with Robin's corpse while you're at it?

25th Mar 2019, 10:28 AM edit | delete | reply

OKAY I need to like... Show the screen clearer on torch mode hhhh

edit: is that better?

25th Mar 2019, 1:45 PM edit | delete | reply

Definitely c; All good now!

26th Mar 2019, 5:51 PM edit | delete | reply

Very nicely done, that's a clever way of working it into an existing panel! I didn't expect you to update anything because some of us thought, idk, that Dylan was starting a new Instagram showing all the homicide-related crime scenes he's created or tampered with, but thank you!

24th Mar 2019, 7:12 PM edit | delete | reply

Not a good plan. Probably THE plan under these circumstances though...
Dylan was suspicious at most and mostly pressured by Vic who really wanted to prove something but otherwise I think there was no evidence Dylan did anything? He then acted like a fool but I guess he could still come back and say he was under severe mental pressure the last couple of days. Too late now? Dunno but I suppose he is also very unsure what Corey actually said to the friends so this plan it is.

25th Mar 2019, 12:37 AM edit | delete | reply

yeah overall he's not very suspicious, probably mostly the fact that Vic tends to suspect family members, Dylan's acting the weirdest and he was also awake fr some reason that morning. He's just gotta try and do something that contradicts whatever he thinks corey is gonna say!

27th Mar 2019, 7:15 PM edit | delete | reply

Columbo says that if you suddenly decide to tamper with anything related to the murder due to stress or feelings that you are not as well protected as you thought, you are going to only indirectly confess to it. Good luck Dylan...
