Jerry you useless bum! Get back here and haunt the budding romantic couple!

*cough*

Thanks to MadJak91, I was able to peruse the forbidden archive. And I have to say, as someone who joined during the reboot, I’m wildly impressed at the jump in quality from the original version to the reboot. Even ignoring the (outstandingly impressive!) bump in art quality, the framing of scenes, the dialog, the utilization of the minor characters, the pacing… just about everything about the comic was greatly improved. And even beyond THAT, you got really far into the old comic, it speaks of profound dedication to pour this much effort into bringing the two versions more or less up to date with eachother.

I just want you to know that all your hardwork into this story isn’t going unappreciated.

Thank you so much! That means a lot to me, and I've also been really enjoying your theories ;)
I'm pretty happy that the story's *finally* almost back to the point where it was when I left off 2 years ago.

Hmm but how did Jak get the old pages? I thought I got rid of them :'D

It was less that he archived them, and more that he reminded me that wayback machine exists. God it's been years since I last used that site.

I can 100% vouch that Wooster WILL find your contacts like Skype and send you extensive research at about 1 AM.
By that I mean... It is the first time it happened to me so I am only happy :D
They are onto you, Moth. Hard ;)

"Jerry you useless bum! Get back here and haunt the budding romantic couple!"
lmao :D
One thing. Moth on her tumblr has this kinda shippy drawing.
Is that her? If yes then it still can be just a random illustration but maybe she actually had a thing for Jerry... Hm.

That ain't shippy, this is shippy.
Then again so's this.
i draw many things.

Guilty as charged. Fortunately, Jak hasn't blocked me yet and we've just finished yet another theory jam trying to piece together what the greater story is here. Jak's fun to throw ideas at, and he's got a few of his own.

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I had no idea there were old secret archives! :D

Actually, I think the old art style is pretty nice—I like it a lot. It just so happens that the reboot is ridiculously wonderful.

(I'm also so very tickled at the thought of fans of this comic randomly Skyping in the wee hours. <3)

Ah my old pages! My dark secret! I honestly thought that wayback hadn't managed to save most of the images. Hope you didn't get too many spoilers ;)

19th Feb 2018, 1:08 PM edit | delete | reply

Honestly, not as many as you might think. If anything the old archives gave me MORE questions. But for the most part I'm keeping the old comic theories to my seemingly daily Skype chats with MadJak. Honesty, I wonder what you might think if you saw us screaming at each other with each wild theory we pull up.

lmao
Not as much screaming because from my point of view, it is like having a futuristic compiler and linker.
It is not just warnings and errors and minor suggestions. It literally corrects your algorithm and says: "How about this? I think this runs much better with the same results."

;D

A metaphor after my own heart. <3

Nothing like programming and related metaphors ;D

Is there also a number he can call?

"If your ghost is harmless and is just making some ruckus late at night, please press 1. If your ghost is creepily harassing you because you murdered him or her, please press 2."

It's funny when I'm reading/watching something where characters do exactly what a reasonable person would, but I'm here slamming my fists on the table in frustration. Like... that's a perfectly reasonable response to someone telling you they can still see their recently deceased relative but she DOESN'T UNDERSTAND!!

11th Feb 2018, 11:20 AM edit | delete | reply

How dare she be so rational, doesn't she know she should be freaking out!? Hehe but maybe she's right ;)

11th Feb 2018, 8:50 PM edit | delete | reply

Ah! Then she suspects nothing. I guess it was mostly me than her. Like this I do not feel any attempt at finding out what happened. More like she really trusts Dylan misses his bro.

However, it is still dangerous for Dylan but then what is not? Getting too close to another person who might have known Jerry a lot. That can spiral out of control once some facts start to surface :/

13th Feb 2018, 12:54 AM edit | delete | reply

Dylan! You jerk! You just ignored her thoroughly rehearsed spiel on grief (that she's obviously never had a chance to use yet) and then proceeded to talk about your problems instead of telling her how great she was. You're never going to get a date with at this rate...you jerk.

Yeah, no, I couldn't stop myself, especially because her expression in that last panel cracked me up. :) She had no idea what kind of crazy she invited into her bedroom, of all places, and yet she looks more concerned about him than she does about how 'mad' he sounds. She's either a very empathetic person, or that level of weird doesn't phase her. Or both. Either way, Dylan has probably picked the right person to confide in, so long as she doesn't try to get 'help' for him.
